Re: Audible.com QC standards

is Audacity capable of allowing me to meet the QC mastering (quality control) standards that this page states? Yes it is, though as Koz notes, their description of "good" recording is detailed and fairly comprehensive, but not "complete". They mention "room tone" sever...

Re: Regular Interval labels ignores , as decimal separator

Re: Extremely slow Auto Duck - and a solution.

Thanks jcxz100. I've tried your modification on Linux and I can confirm that there is a considerable speed increase (about 20 x faster).
I'll forward your modification to the developers.

That shouldn't be a problem because Skype is only half-duplex (one direction at a time).

I find that feature useful, but I'd (also) like to be able to make use of a horizontal guide without having to zoom in.

Re: Selection points and labels

To remove labels without affecting other labels: Single-click in the text of an individual label, then press the DELETE or BACKSPACE key (as appropriate) on your keyboard until the text is removed. Once the label is empty of text, press DELETE or BACKSPACE once more to delete the label.

Short version - Set the "host" in the Device Toolbar to "Jack".
I'm sure that I wrote the "long version" somewhere - give a shout if you need it.

Re: Can record Skype call OR myself-not both w QjackCtl Auda

"Skype Call Recorder" works well for me: http://atdot.ch/scr/

It is also possible to record both sides using Jack, but it's a bit awkward because Skype does not appear to support Jack so I'd recommend that you try "Skype Call Recorder" first.
