Re: Why is my USB Mic so quiet??

That looks like a "side address" microphone, which means that you need to speak into the "front" of the mic, not into the end of the mic.

Re: Why is my USB Mic so quiet??

What is the make and model number of the mic?
Which model is your Mac?
How is the mic connected to the Mac?

Re: Scratchy noise when playing track back but not on track

Are you running other apps at the same time? I know that Windows 10 is quite memory hungry, but I think 8GB RAM should be enough if you are only running Audacity. One problem that I regularly encounter with Windows 10 (largely because I don't use it very often) is Windows deciding to check for updat...

Re: What Filter Curve is this?

Let us remember that if the user uses the effect with a factory preset or a user preset, closes Audacity and relaunches - Audacity perfectly well remembers the details of the parameter settings for the effect Yes Audacity remembers the parameters. No Audacity does not remember that the parameters w...

I normally use Gimp, but testing with Audacity 2.4.2 on Linux, I don't seem to be able to create a screenshot of only the topmost window (even if I'm quick enough). For example, I can't get a screenshot of the "Amplify" dialog or "Plot Spectrum".
Same on Audacity 3.0.0 alpha.

Re: Latency again.

I've just noticed that your question has no replies. Did you manage to resolve this issue or is there still a problem?

Re: Problem with Recording Speed

Try saving the project, then close and relaunch Audacity, then make a test recording in a new project. Is it recording normally?

Re: Horizontal scroll wheel does not work

When trying to scroll horizontally, the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window moves freely left and right. However, the tracks remain fixed and do not move. That sounds weird. If you click and drag the horizontal scroll bar, do the tracks move? If "Pinned Play Head" is enabled...

I followed the instructions on the manual to avoid latency but it is pretty high!
What exactly do you mean by the "latency is pretty high"?
Are you referring to a delay when monitoring your mic input on headphones, or do you mean something else?
