Re: Concatenating files
Error. Directory “e:/current business/projects/101-2.aup” does not exist That is the name of a file, not the name of a folder (directory). "101-2.aup" is an Audacity Project file, The "Path" (folder/directory address) is “e:/current business/projects/" You cannot import a ....

Re: Recording while generate
Use the generate effect first to create a sound.
Check in the Transport toolbar that "overdub" in on (selected).
Record your voice - you should be able to hear the generated sound while you are recording.

Re: How to record sound thro mic in windows 7
Why recording through mono instead of stereo Because a microphone is a mono device. A stereo device (such as a CD player) produces two signals, one for the left and one for the right. A stereo track has one left channel that plays through the left speaker, and one right channel that plays through t...

Re: Concantinating files
The size limitation of the "Append Import" plug-in is because the files are loaded entirely into RAM before being placed in the track - that is, ALL of the tracks are loaded into RAM simultaneously, so you need enough free RAM to hold all of the audio data. The plug-in also only supports ....

Re: Concantinating files
If the files are not too long and your computer has plenty of free RAM, you could use this "Append Import" plug-in: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=151858#p151858 If that is not suitable for your needs, then the best we can do is to cut down the process to a sequence of keybo...

Re: Temporary Folder
How are you setting the folder? Are you typing the path or clicking on "Choose" and selecting it? Try both.
