Re: Why is my USB Mic so quiet??
If it had a pad switch, it would be on the outside. I think the problem is that it is a quiet mic. Either you need a more sensitive mic for your voice, or a louder voice for the mic. Considering the amount of stuff that's included, it was not a bad price, but the mic is one place that you really sho...

Audacity 2.4.2 is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ Audacity 2.4.2 includes two plug-ins for crossfading: This is often the easier one to use: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/crossfade_clips.html This one is more flexible but a little more complex...

Re: avformat-58
Updating libraries is an ongoing task. Audacity uses a lot of third party libraries, which are updated periodically. Updating libraries takes developer time, which is limited as there is only a very small team of developers. If you are an experienced software developer and would like to contribute, ...

In all other versions this works great, gives me the files needed and with a little tweak of the Metadata produce a nice set of ....

Re: What Filter Curve is this?
We broke backward compatibility when we replaced the old Equalization effect with Filter Curve EQ. I'd be very reluctant to break backward compatibility again. (It would also break the EQ XML to TXT Converter)waxcylinder wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 6:34 pmAdding this looks like just adding an extra parameet: Name=<xxxxx>

Re: Why is my USB Mic so quiet??
USB microphones frequently have a fairly low signal level because they have to be able to handle loud people without distorting. Perhaps you could post a short test recording so we can see what sort of signal level you are getting: Position the mic about 15 cm in front of your face, with the front o...
