No problem - it's really easy to get confused when switching between different versions and different preferences. I've done the same myself many times>porridge< wrote:I must have got confused switching back and forth couple of times.

Re: playing long mp3 in short time
If you want to make it play faster, use the Change Speed or Change Tempo effects.

Re: not a good plaayback
MP3 is a "lossy" format - there is always some loss of sound quality when converted to MP3 format (also applies to other lossy compression formats such as Ogg, WMA, AC3 and so on). For best quality, don't use MP3, keep to a lossless format such as WAV or FLAC. If you must use MP3, try usin...

Re: 11025hz project rate inaccurate?
I can reproduce your results, but I think your analysis of the "problem" is incorrect. The Audacity 2.0.3 version is more accurate than the 1.3.12 version. You can prove this by resampling the high sample rate original down to 11025 and then back up to 96 kHz and comparing the spectrum wit...

If the file type is not automatically recognised then we need to know what sort of file it is so tha...

Re: Distortion (gargling noise) when recording vinyl or CD.
Thanks, but you've posted a .AUP file. We can't do anything with that as it is not an audio file, it is just one part of an Audacity Project.

Re: Bellari VP530 phono preamp USB output level adjustment.
Make a note of your current sound system settings and then try selecting "DirectSound" as "host" in the Device Toolbar and enabling both "Exclusive Mode" boxes in Windows "Sound". This should give Audacity access to the audio data directly, without intermediat...
