Re: volume
what is the difference bet 32 float and 32 PCM ? PCM may use integer or floating point data. Audacity supports tracks that are 16 bit integer. 24 bit integer and 32 bit float (floating point). 32 bit float is strongly recommended for audio processing. 32 bit integer PCM has 2^32 (4,294,967,296) pos...

Re: Cutting down multiple audio files at the same time
One way to do it:
Import all of the files.
Select 0.1 seconds in one of the tracks.
Ctrl+Shift+K to "Select in all tracks".
Ctrl+T to trim
File menu > Export Multiple (based on tracks).
Import all of the files.
Select 0.1 seconds in one of the tracks.
Ctrl+Shift+K to "Select in all tracks".
Ctrl+T to trim
File menu > Export Multiple (based on tracks).

Re: Importing a CD with music between tracks

To avoid gaps between tracks you need to use a format that does not add padding to the start or end of the tracks (for example WAV, AIFF, Flac or Ogg). Some players are able to merge MP3 files on the fly so as to avoid playin...
