Re: Adding random silence to the end of multiple mp3 files
This little plugin is made by Steve No, no.. please do take credit for the plug-on - this is your first "published" plug-in :) I think it is enough to just include a code comment to give credit for bits of open source code that you have used in a plug-in. A few comments about the plug-in....

Re: How do I reduce bitrate on multiple MP3's??
Audacity handles batch processing with "Chains". See these two links: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/edit_chains.html http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/apply_chain.html When Exporting to MP3 using a Chain, Audacity uses whatever MP3 settings that were used last, so before running ...

Re: Beat Per Minute labels
Where is it written you have to play the song in Audacity? Play it in Windows Media or VLC Player, QuickTime Player or iTunes and tap with your pencil into a recording. Run the algorithm and poof: BPM. I agree with Gale that there is demand for a "real time tool" - open a dialogue window,...

from a 16 track mixing board to a driverack 260. from there xlr to the mic/line input on the laptop. It's a tragic shame that you are using professional gear like the driverack 260 and then feeding it into the lowest common denominator sound card - the built-in mic/line socket on a laptop. Even if ...

Re: Adding random silence to multiple mp3 files?
Ok. I have tested it and it works great - easy and simple but I couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you very much! You're welcome. We have a little tradition on this forum - it's not compulsory, but it's a nice tradition: When someone comes up with a Nyquist plug-in that works with the h...

Re: Tinny, hollow sound of Audacity files...
We've had plenty of people that have problems with tinny sound when recording from a turntable without RIAA equalization. I think that Koz is trying to establish whether your system includes the necessary RIAA equalization stage.

Re: examples of using *warp* and *transpose* in an instrumen
There used to be a mailing list for Nyquist, but that has fallen into disuse, so this is probably the most "hardcore" forum that is currently active. I've not worked with Nyquist instruments much myself, but there are a number of instruments that are shipped with Nyquist that you can look ...
