Re: Audacity Recordings in Wave File Format
The good news is that you probably do not need to make any changes to how Audacity is set up. The bad news is that the time limit that you are hitting is the limit to how much audio you can fit onto an ordinary audio CD. If you wish to make longer recording in Audacity, go ahead - it should be able ...

Re: Increasing volume on only one track
Perhaps you can also tell me, if there is a smart way to adjust all 3 elements so they get the same volume? That would be nice wouldn't it :) Unfortunately it is not so simple. "Loudness" is not a scientific measurement, it's a subjective perception. How "loud" something sounds ...

Re: Samson USB mic not fullyu working with audacity
if i put music in the first track that is imported in then record with the mic in the second track it doesn't work. In what way "doesn't work"? Is there an error message? Does it record a flat line? Does your computer turn into jelly? What settings are you using in the Device Toolbar . Pl...

Re: Increasing volume on only one track
Select only the track (or part of the track) that you want to apply the effect to. (see here for details: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html )

Re: Need to record a mono mic in stereo
Aside from the obvious problem I'm glad you said that - it's surprising how many users don't appreciate the contradiction ;) The most simple solution: 1) Record in mono (I presume this works OK). Press "Stop" to finish (not "Pause"). 2) Ensure that the entire track is selected (...

Re: Non-contiguous Select
Thanks, I understand what you mean. I was just a bit unclear what exactly you were doing in steps 4 and 5. At least that's what I think happened. Yes you are correct, that is what is happening :) A couple of points that may help: You don't need to manually create the empty tracks. If there are no tr...

Re: cut preview problem
My choice would be to only preview non-muted tracks. I'm going to change my vote. "Cut Preview" is intended to preview the effect of cutting. I'm changing my vote for it to work in the same way as Preview in other effects - that is, to preview a mix of the selected tracks regardless of mu...

Re: Quick conversion calculator
I cheat by entering the length or BPM values in Effect > Change Tempo. The Quick Calculator is more accurate. For example, according to "Change Tempo", from 45 to 33.3333 = -26.667 (tempo values are truncated to integers). Quick Calculator gives the answer, from 45 to 33.3333 = -25.926 (c...

Re: Non-contiguous Select
Do you mean that you imported 4 new tracks, or you added 4 new empty tracks (Tracks > Add New > Audio track)dgpretzel wrote:4) Added 4 new stereo tracks.
You've lost me. You moved them where? Adjacent to what?dgpretzel wrote:5) Moved the new tracks so they were all adjacent.
