Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

Code: Select all

(setq modstep (eql
Where does that "eql" come from? What is that supposed to do? Did you look up "eql" in the XLISP manual to see what it means?

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

Thanks Robert. This is clearly a powerful and useful tool (even if rather slow), but I still feel that the complexity will be daunting to most users. Would you be interested in making a version that is specifically tailored to the tasks of vocal/instrument removal/isolation?

My computer is not connected on-line. Is there any way for me to get this Microsoft Visual etc.. program onto my computer without being online? Download it on another computer and copy it to a USB memory stick, or CDR or other portable storage medium, then transfer it to the computer on which you n...

Re: recording lineout and linein together

I presume that you want to see the synchronized lyrics while you sing, in which case, try the method that Gale described.
Note that not all sound cards can do this, so cross your fingers and give it a go.

Re: Render effects to a separate track than original?

Gverb was just an example of the technique of using a "dry" (original audio) track and a "wet" (processed duplicate) track, which can then be mixed together. The technique can be used with many effects other than Gverb. Some effects (such as the included "Phaser" effect...

Please try to be more descriptive about exactly what is happening / not happening.
Can you give steps to reproduce the problem?
Does this question have anything to do with compiling Audacity from the source code?
