Re: No playback device found but they're there.

Try the following test: Ensure that no other audio applications are running, then try starting Audacity from a Terminal window with: pasuspender audacity Watch out for your web browser accessing the audio system - if necessary, log out and back i...

Re: convert 128kbps to 96kbps

I presume that you mean "how to set the MP3 format" ? See here for how to do that: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/file_export_dialog.html Do they also specify "mono"? Audacity automatically exports in stereo or mono depending on the content of your Audacity project. If the ...

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

How about including a contextual help for each Action? I mean two additional entries in the Options multi choice control: - "Help on selected Action" - "General Help" The first one gives a description for each of the 17 entries and the latter describes all that's remaining. Of c...

Re: Bass Tilt Plug-in

It could be a lower value but I don't like to second-guess the user who may want a more extreme setting beyond what we think is reasonable. The way that we usually handle that is to set the slider range to what we consider "reasonable", but do not restrict the range elsewhere in the code....

Please tell us what you have tried so far. Note that we cannot see your machine, so you need to describe all of the details. Too much information is better than not enough.

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

I take a different viewpoint of this plug-in than Gale, and have few reservations about uploading it to the wiki in it's current form, provided that a user manual is included in the download. I agree with Gale that some of the controls could do with tweaking (such as "smps", which I might ...

Re: Bass Tilt Plug-in

Cool, it works well 8-) If I could make a couple of suggestions: The extra line spaces in the header should not really be there. David Sky, who wrote the plug-in that you were copying, was blind, and so was unaware of the double line spacing. Nyquist is based on LISP, and in well written LISP the co...

Re: Auto Duck suggestion

well sometimes we need lowered, sometimes raised... As a practicality, in the example that you posted, it is easy to lower the level of the highlighted end bit, either by fading it out or by using the Envelope Tool . On the other hand, if AutoDuck pushed the volume low at the indicated position and...
