Do you use "Soundflower" (it's a program).

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
Thanks, but I need to be able to download it in the original WAV format and I don't think I can do that from Soundcloud.
Short WAV files (less than about 6 seconds) can be attached directly to forum posts (see here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936)

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
It's difficult to tell much from the Soundcloud recording but perhaps a short WAV file could reveal more about the problem. Could you post a couple of seconds of audio that has the clicks as a short WAV file (see here if you're not sure how to do that http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49...

Re: Stops saving to desktop after awhile
If I quit Audacity and open it again the problem goes away. But if I use it long enough it comes back. I think I was using Audacity for a couple hours at least until the problem occurred. When it stopped saving directly to the desktop I saved it to a folder on the desktop. When saving to that folde...

Re: Audacity export doesn't synch with video
The explanation is simple but the solution is expensive. The simple explanation is that the three devices that you are recording on are not all running at exactly the same speed. The solution is to synchronise all devices to a single "word clock". Note that it tends to be only the more exp...

Re: Stops saving to desktop after awhile
I don't think Audacity natively runs in 64 bit. One of the other elves will be along. Audacity is a 32 bit application. 64 bit operating systems can run 32 bit applications. cazorla, try this test. 1) Reboot the computer. 2) Launch Audacity. 3) Generate menu > Tone. Generate a 30 second tone. 4) Ex...

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
Setting "Real Time Conversion" to "Fastest / No Dither" can improve playback issues (such as clicking) when playing back the project in Audacity, but have no effect on export. Exporting is not done in "real time" - your computer can take as much time as is required to e...

Re: How do I mic my hand drum?
If you play the darbuka loudly, I'd not recommend the BG4's for close mic'ing. SM58's (an 57's) are about as indestructible as a microphone can be, and can withstand huge SPLs (sound pressure levels), but this is not the case for condenser microphones. For "ambient" mic'ing, or "overh...
