Re: Track is too Fast
Can you hear the tape while you are playing/recording it? Does it sound "Minnie Mouse" while you are playing/recording the tape?

Re: Bass Tilt Plug-in
There's some sort of bug/compatibility issue between Firefox and the forum software that causes a couple of spaces to be added to the start of each line when copying code from a forum post. There are a couple of plug-ins available for Firefox that resolve this issue - "Copy as plain text" ...

Re: Vinyl Ripping To Digital Voice Recorder
As I said, it depends on the hardware, but usually the headphone output goes through an extra headphone amplifier circuit, so it may be of lesser quality than the main Record output. There may also be other differences in the signal routing. The "Tape" / "Record" out is the one t...

(I assume ADC means Audio Device for Capture or something similar, did not find the acronym, please tell me if I'm wrong.) ADC : Analogue to Digital Converter. ("Analog" if you're on the other side of the pond). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analog-to-digital_converter why the track become...

Re: Vinyl Ripping To Digital Voice Recorder
It depends on the equipment that you are using.
Note that there is always some loss of sound quality when compressing audio to MP3 format. For best quality you need to keep the audio in an uncompressed format such as WAV or FLAC.

Re: Noise Reduction Algorithm - Papers/References?
I've seen the algorithm description at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Noise_Removal I think that is the most detailed documentation that we have. For a more detailed account you would need to look at the source code (http://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/browse/audacity-src/trunk/src/effects/...

Re: Question about Resampling Library
if you decide to change the sampling rate of a song by importing it and then clicking track title > Set Rate? Strangely enough, "Set Rate" from the track drop-down menu does not require "resampling" in the sense that the audio does not need to be "processed". When you ...

Re: redrawing waveform with pencil tool creates click
Some users have reported great success with using the pencil for removing small clicks, but personally, like you, I find it to be more trouble than it is worth. Perhaps we don't have the patience or hand/eye coordination necessary to make it work reliably. Alternatives that can be used are: Hold dow...

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more
It is not very subtle  we'll be calling you "MC RJH" - add a stronger beat to it and you could put it on YouTube as a Remix. I wonder if there was ever such a fuzz about a plug-in that wasn't intended for shipping with Audacity. :sigh: yes. Sometimes the documentation can take consi...
