Re: Projects with several tracks

Check that "Sync-Lock Tracks" is not enabled http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sy ... racks.html
You should then be able to select and delete from one single track.
See here for the various ways of selecting audio: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html

Re: unwanted chorus effect

Check that the Windows Sounds "enhancements" are disabled: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ: ... hancements
If that is not the problem, please give a detailed description of how you are recording and what equipment you are using.

Re: ALSA Question

So robustness has to be taken into account as well as audio performance. Strangely enough, that was one of the main reasons why I changed my Desktop OS to Linux (and have had no reason to look back) ;) . Of course it can get a bit precarious close to the bleeding edge of technology which is why I p...

Re: Importing order

When I import multiple tracks, it does it alphabetically. How do I change it so that it imports by track number? You don't. Audacity imports alphabetically. Your options are: Rename the files before importing so that the alphabetic order matches the track order. Import the files one at a time. Rear...

Re: Noob help! Using back track and recording.

The basic method to use is to first import your backing track into Audacity (File menu > Import > Audio) and then ...

Re: Has anyone found a demodulator for CD4 (Quadraphonic) Vi

I've not seen a suitable plug-in, but it could be an interesting project to make one using Nyquist . According to this page the carrier signal was in the range of 30 to 50kHz (30,000Hz to 50,000 Hz), so for this to work your audio equipment must all be capable of handling these very high frequencies...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes

In conclusion, text chunks would only make sense if the Audio is streamed, It could also make sense when downloading files. Some media players can start playing a file as soon as a sufficient amount of data to fill the buffers has been downloaded, so while this is not strictly "streaming audio...
