Try the Envelope tool http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html
(but don't go mad with it - it's easy to get caught up in minuscule detail, when all you probably need to do is manage the extremes).

Re: PC speaker tones generator?
Here's a plug-in that I think may be along the lines of what you want:CZghost wrote:I'm looking for plug-in directly generating that type of sound.

Re: How to Apply Chains on Project files
I have hundreds of Audacity project files That is probably not a good strategy. Imho, projects should be thought of a "work in progress", and the inherent problem of having hundreds of "works in progress" is that you can easily end up with hundreds of unfinished works and the un...

Re: 24 kHz recordings (Keep rate or change?)
Acoustic guitar and vocals did not sound like good candidates for enhancers to me. Probably not. I'd expect it to sound rather artificial, or just plain distorted. I've only ever seen or heard VST's that do overtone generation. Are there any Nyquist plug-ins that do that under development? Yes, in ...

Re: Any option to group installed plug-ins?
I've moved this to the "Adding Features" section of the forum.
During the 1.3.x beta series, effect categories were tried, but (perhaps due to how it was implemented) it was overwhelmingly unpopular.
Do you have any suggestions of how you would like this to be implemented?

Re: PC speaker tones generator?
I think this gives quite a good PC speaker tone emulation: (setq shape (abs-env (osc (hz-to-step 1) 0.5 *sine-table* -90))) (setq envelope (list 0 0.1 0 0.1 1 0.3 1 0.3 0 0.31 0 0.31 1 0.61 1 0.61 0 0.62 0 0.62 1 0.92 1 0.92 0 1 0)) (abs-env (mult 0.2 (pwlv-list envelope) (hp (lowpass8 (osc-pulse 10...

What happened when you applied "Align End to End" to the tracks in you project?

Re: PC speaker tones generator?
This is code for Nyquist prompt. Where to find that prompt in Audacity 2.0.3? I looked in File, Edit, View, Tracks, Create, Filters, Analysis and Help, no entry for Nyquist prompt line. The "Nyquist Prompt" is in the "Effect" menu. I read a short article showing Turbo Pascal cod...

I think that Koz meant for you to download the "FourPointOh8Seconds.mp3" attachment in his post and listen to that.oso_kool wrote:No, I just get a hissing noise. No truck sound. No rumbling like an earth quake.

Re: Loudness Variation Between Songs Problem
I've been doing this manually by ear and am wondering if there is an effect or feature on Audacity that can help me with this? Believe it or not, the best tool for the job is the one that you are using - your ears. There are other tools available, but the best they can do is to try and emulate what...
