Re: A Nyquist de-esser, and more?

Hello, I posted an earlier experiment here and I see there were many downloads but little discussion. Unfortunately that is often the way. I wish we were able to persuade people that download plug-ins to provide feedback as it is a great help for plug-in developers. I found your previous work very ...

Re: Increase volume of a quiet recording

The best way is to painstakingly go through using the Envelope Tool to adjust the volume up and down. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html If you want a quicker way, you could try this "Automatic Gain Control" plug-in effect: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p...

Re: using guitar on laptop

Hi. I cant seem to use my guitar on my laptop.as a amplifier. I presume that you want to play your guitar and hear it playing through the computer while you play? That was usually easy to do on XP, but it is usually disabled on later versions of Windows. It may be possible to enable it in the Windo...

Windows Direct Sound, SB Live! Wave Device and SB Live! Wave Device: Record Master.
First, check in the Windows Sound Control Panel that they are enabled and working. Then open Audacity and select the required options in the device toolbar.

Re: Dramatically reducing file size of a WAV for an online g

my contact is adamant that they are using a WAV file that is only 400KB for their game I don't suppose there is any chance that we could see that file? Analyzing the file with MediaInfo should be able to shed some light on the question. During my student days I wrote a 4 hour composition that fitte...

Re: Help Getting a Specific Voice Effect

The main effects are "delay" and "reverb". There may be other ingredients (such as "a cool voice").
