The first thing to do is to tell Windows to show you the file extension (see here: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/28650-windows ... extensions)
and check that the files have ".wav" as the file extension.

what is the best format (and settings) to use to get the best quality audio file, yet not too big for my website demos? It's a feature request, but please move it to the "Nyquist > New Plug-ins" forum after you have transferred it - I think there could be some interesting challenges here for plug-in developers.
