Re: Driving me nuts
As the recording does not have each instrument on a different track, then doing the best that you can with the Equalization effect is likely to be as good as it gets.

My guess is that they didn't do it and that the file is actually much bigger than they said.BillyBiggtime wrote:Anyone got any ideas?

Re: Any option to group installed plug-ins?
The only foolproof way that I can think that Audacity could correctly and reliably reconstruct arbitrary user grouping for all effects, would be to look at the file name and checksum for each file when Audacity is launched. However, if there are a lot of plug-ins then doing so would considerably slo...

Re: Auto Labels
Could you post a screenshot to show what you mean. I'm not sure if I'm visualising it correctly.WeirDave wrote:I always place a label 1 second before the audio and 2 seconds after the audio.

Re: Zoom Indicator and Saved Spot
1. It would be nice to see some sort of gauge that would display the current zoom state. Doesn't the "Timeline" do that? (just above the track window). 2. It would be great if you could save and then either hotkey or button press a specific zoom setting. There is a feature in the Edit men...

Re: Help with recording using mixtrack pro
Hi I'm having trouble recording when using Serato & Numark mixtrack pro. I can record windows media player ok but when I try using mixpro it doesn't seem to pick up the signal. You need to set the recording input in Audacity (in the device toolbar ) to record the appropriate sound input. When u...

Re: Recording two different tracks simultaneously
I need one track to record system audio, and one track to record from my mike Audacity will record whatever audio is sent to it. Unfortunately, the Windows sound system is not able to do what you are asking. One option would be to use a mixing desk - plug in your microphone and a second computer to...

Re: Silence Finder - Track name = track # ?
Ah, but ernie said he has 170 tracks   That is clearly a non-standard case. How many albums are there with 170 tracks? (The maximum number of tracks for a standard audio CD is 99). For "specialist" (non-standard) jobs, the new "Sound Finder" will be the tool to use.

Re: Silence Finder - Track name = track # ?
Yeah, I know about that export option to add a prefix to file name. I thought that would be great, but I later realized that having all the song names as "S" didn't work for me. I *would* recommend changing the Silence Finder though to label tracks uniquely, e.g. 1, 2, or S1, S2 if you fe...

Re: Silence Finder - Track name = track # ?
@Steve: doesn't your Album Track Marker do this sequential numbering? No it doesn't. But my "Sound Finder" has all the bells and whistles, including custom label names and label numbering. The (simple) "Album Track Marker" produces empty labels, so if the user wants to number th...
