Re: pb with FFmep and export to aac format
For FFmpeg support you must have the ffmpeg header files installed when you build Audacity so that Audacity can link to FFmpeg. Audacity currently supports linking to FFmpeg versions 0.5 through 0.8. Later versions of FFmpeg are unlikely to work with Audacity. If you are on a Debian (or Ubuntu) base...

Re: Audacity Loop Bug?
Also I've just noticed you can defeat the restriction by using CTRL + R which will repeat the selection the same number of times that it did before :o . Should we close that loophole, Steve? I'd be strongly tempted to keep that "loophole" open, specifically for unusual cases such as this....

Yes, just as there was in 2009. See my previous post.Odd Ramos wrote:Is there a way to “automatically envelope” (automatically even) audio levels in audacity, so the louder moments would be silenced and quieter parts would be amplified?

Could you post a short example of the problem. WAV format preferred, just a few seconds needed. See here for how to post an audio sample: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=72887

Re: Set edit points during recording
During recording (or playback), use Ctrl+M to create a "marker" (label).
Optionally you can enter text in the label.
Press ENTER to close the label text.
Tip: Have a practice with it before you need to use it during a service.

Re: languague override?
The language selection in the installer sets the language for the installer.
Audacity, when installed, defaults to the system language. You can change the language in Preferences. See here in the FAQ for details: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... l#language
