Re: Repeat Effect Issue
This is the only "gap" that I'm getting: firsttrack002.png The "gap" is precisely the space between the last sample of one repeat and the first sample of the next - in other words it is no gap at all. If you "Select All" (Ctrl+A) then "Join" (Ctrl+J) the last ...

Re: Pseudo or even real Real Time Clock
I just wrote this exact code for a client. WxWidgets does not make it easy to turn the time and date into a string. If you'd like to look at the code in action or the source let me know and I will post the link to download the executable and/or the source code. I'd be interested in seeing the code ...

Re: Audicity recording botton block all computer
That's a rather old version.barkay wrote:Im using Ubuntu 12.04
And that is a very new version. Where did you get it and how did you install it?barkay wrote:now Im on 2.0.5
If you are still on Ubuntu 12.04 you may do better to go back to the Ubuntu repository version of Audacity.

Re: Pseudo or even real Real Time Clock
Any timeline gets messed up when you start "doing things" to the audio. Except for the standard one, which does not care what you do to the audio, it always starts at 0 and progresses uniformly 1, 2,3... The film people have edge codes,... interesting. So you'd like time stamps on each au...

Re: Newbie basic recording question
When I record a track (from iTunes, dragging the track in to Audacity), all is well. When dragging a track into Audacity, we call that "importing" (the same as using "File menu > Import > Audio") so as distinguish it from "recording" as you would "record with a mi...

Re: Get time for debugging purposes
How in xlisp can I get current clock time so I can print it? I don't think that you can, though it might be a nice feature for version 4 plug-ins. Or otherwise figure out where time is going in my code? How "fine grained" do you want to get? You can approximate the time taken by a functio...

So the question isn't "How can I record both sides of a Skype conversation at the same time"?

Re: Pseudo or even real Real Time Clock
Any ideas at all. Every video recorder on earth can do this before breakfast. and yet it is virtually unheard of in audio editors. As you've noticed, another good reason to have access to the time: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=227702#p227702 On Linux it would be very easy for Audac...
