That sounds like a reasonable theory.
The way that I would probably approach it would be to split the windowing code out into a standalone function, making it easy to change the window type. You can then compare the results of using different windows.

Re: Pseudo or even real Real Time Clock
"I really wanted an Audacity Project but I keep getting this stupid WAV file..." We usually see the reverse problem don't we? "How do I save one file and not hundreds of little fragments", or, "listen to my recording: mytune.aup ", but we're discussing that issue over ...

Re: Get time for debugging purposes
There's quite a lot more stuff in Common Lisp that in XLISP. You'll probably get quite frustrated if you use a book about Common Lisp as a language reference, but it will probably still be an excellent reference for other things, such as how to write in a "Lisp-like" way. When I started us...

Re: Get time for debugging purposes
I don't think that INCF and DECF are standard XLISP functions, though they are available in Nyquist and appear in the Nyquist index: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~rbd/doc/nyquist/indx.html

This is the main XLISP manual that I use: http://www.audacity-forum.de/download/edgar/nyquist/nyquist-doc/xlisp/xlisp-index.htm The language reference (http://www.audacity-forum.de/download/edgar/nyquist/nyquist-doc/xlisp/xlisp-ref/xlisp-ref-index.htm) is particularly useful as it provides examples ...

Re: Playback with pulseaudio on Ubuntu
Extremely fast. I try record my desktop. File in attachments. I was not expecting it to be like that. Thanks for the video, that illustrates the problem perfectly. Unfortunately I have no idea what is causing it - I've never seen anything like that before. I'll ask around and see if anyone has any ...

Re: Playback with pulseaudio on Ubuntu
Very strange. :? When you play in Audacity with Pulse or Default selected as the playback device in the device toolbar , how much "too fast" does it play? Just a bit too fast? Double speed? Extremely fast? Is the pitch also too high? If so, how much too high? From the Help menu, select &qu...
