Re: wont recognize my akai interface

For the "host" setting in the device toolbar , try the MME option - that is usually the most compatible. If still no joy, select "Audio device info" in the Audacity help menu and copy and paste the contents into your reply. That will tell us if Audacity can see your device at all.

Re: Motherboard

And yes but I am merely trying to set a sample rate that will be of the best quality for music in my situation (I was told it depends on some factors of my setup such as hardware used, etc) You were told that it was a " possibility ". At that stage we had not heard even a single sample of...

Re: wont recognize my akai interface

Ensure that the Akai is connected to the computer and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.
If you start Audacity first you will need to "Rescan for audio devices" (Transport menu) after the Akai has been recognised by Windows.

Re: Convert frequency of sine tone to vibration (tremolo)

What I'm wondering is why you don't simply feed your sine tones into the equipment. You say that the sine tones are already vibrating in the range 50 to 200 Hz.

Re: Convert frequency of sine tone to vibration (tremolo)

Ideally, I want an amplitude that I will be able to modify myself depending on the frequency of the sine wave. For example: if sine wave frequency is 50-100 Hz then amplitude of tremolo is 30Hz I'm having trouble understanding what you mean because "amplitude" and "Hz" are diffe...

Re: FSK generator?

In case you've not noticed, I know little about FSK ;)
One of these Nyquist generators could be a good place to start: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... 8random.29

Re: Sound Finder Enhancement

Sound Finder is a "Nyquist Plug-in", and as such it is very easy to modify. Find the file "SoundFinder.ny" in your Audacity plug-ins folder. Make a back-up copy of that file (just in case ;)) Open "NotePad" (or other plain text editor - don't use a word processor). Open...

Re: Error while opening sound device.

Do you have any other programs running that may be taking exclusive control of your sound card?
In particular do you have Skype and other voip program running (even minimised in the background)?

Re: EZ-Patch

It doesn't seem to quite match Leland's explanation, but note that the comment in the plug-in was nearly 2 years before Leland offered that explanation. It matches the bug in as far as Audacity is not handling the returned stereo data correctly, and in the problem that I'm working around one channel...
