Re: How to configure windows sound devices
From the manual (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/re ... html#setup):
Did you do that?Use device toolbar to set the input (recording) and output (playback) devices and set the channels to "2 (Stereo) Input Channels":

A more accessible way to set up latency correction
As illustrated in this topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=75803 setting up latency correction is quite problematic for VI users. David's JAWs guide offers helpful advice) http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Audacity-2.0.5-Guide.html#latency-correction but the ste...

Re: USB Audio Interface

It seems that you already knew the answer. :? In most cases, changing the motherboard or even changing the whol...

Re: New to Audacity: how to unmute and lengthen tracks

Re: Audacity plays back recordings way, way too fast
Sorry, can't find an edit button... might not be one on this forum. That's fine, just add a new post. It can get very confusing if posts are edited, particularly if there are already replies. I just tried another free (but not as nice) recording software and got similar results - extremely fast pla...

Re: wont recognize my akai interface
My guess is that you have installed ASIO drivers for the Akai, but no "Windows" drivers. Audacity cannot be shipped with support for ASIO due to licensing restrictions, so for Audacity to be able to use the device you must have Windows USB drivers installed for it. I suggest that you check...

Re: How do you record what you hear and what you say?
The easy way is to use specialist Skype recording software such as "Pamela" (commercial non-free) or Skype Call Recorder (free, open source), or similar. There are ways of doing it with Audacity but the problem is that either you only get one side of the conversation clearly, or you need a...
