Re: How do I record my vinyl in stereo?? (USB Phono Plus)
does your computer normally call your usb device a "microphone"? Windows often does that because it just sees the USB audio chip and assumes it is a microphone (the same chip is commonly used for many different USB audio devices). Check in the Windows Sound Control Panel and in the record...

Re: Convert frequency of sine tone to vibration (tremolo)
I don't know what the pitch is in every instance. The pitch will be whatever you want. For example, if you want a frequency of 200 Hz for 0.5 seconds, followed by a frequency of 100 Hz for 1 second: The modulation frequency is a 1/4 of the tone frequency. So the modulation frequency will be 50 Hz f...

Re: Automatic removal of mouth smacks, again
The detection seems pretty good. I had a problem when using more extreme settings. Here's the debug output (I had to snip some of the data because there is too much for a forum post.) "SFT3F window: 2226292 samples 7574 periods 150.031 Hz" error: In SND-AVG, stepsize is too big Function: #...

I'm not Steve Harris. It's known that there are problems with some of the LADSPA effects, but not this particular problem. Before you update Audacity, please look in "Help > About Audacity" and tell us the full version number. The current version is 2.0.5 and you can get it here: http://au...

Re: No recording device found-motherboard chip set up
I postulated I could transfer the CDRs content to my hard drive in WAV lossless format Use a "CD Ripper" for that (for example, EAC or C-Dex. There are many others). edit the recording while playing it back from the hard drive You can't edit "while" playing, because Audacity doe...

Re: Cannot find how to extract start-end time & duration for
Try using "Sound Finder" to mark all of the "Subs". http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/si ... html#sound
You can then tab across from one label to the next and read off the times from the Selection Toolbar.

Re: Audio is ruined after exporting
Perhaps a little quiet, but sounds fine here. It must be something to do with the player. Check that the player is not adding any effects or "enhancements" to the sound.
