Re: Fastest way to separate channels for large number of fil
Do I still need the Channel Mixer if I want to discard the right channel? I'm only interested in the left channel in the output. You wrote in your first post that you wanted to delete left channel. There is no command available for chains to discard one channel. So what you need to do is to copy th...

Re: Audio track editing
You can click on the track at the point where you want the silence, then use "Generate menu > Silence".
However, you may find that absolute silence is rather conspicuous. It may be better to copy a bit of "room tone" and paste that into the track rather than absolute silence.

(- ideally: remove excessive silences in track) You may be able to do that by adding "Truncate Silence" to the Chain. I'd recommend that you try out Truncate Silence and test it thoroughly with a selection of files before you try adding it to the chain. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/ma...

Re: Fastest way to separate channels for large number of fil
It would be possible to process up to about 1000 files as a batch provided that all of the files are in the same folder. Audacity has a batch processing feature called "Chains", but it can only work with files that are in one folder. See here about Chains: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/...

Re: Is WASAPI limited to 44000Hz?
Streaming audio can have high sample rates. Here is what is offered at http://www.sky.fm: I don't see anything there over 256 kbps even for the paid premium accounts. "kbps" is not the same as "kHz". "kbps" refers to then number of "bits" (a digital 1 or 0) p...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
The sound is probably due to electrical interference.
If your new computer parts are not yet installed in a case, try putting them in a case and see if that reduces the noise.

Generally we prefer on this forum for a new topic per question. That way it makes it easier for other people to find solutions to their questions when searching the forum.

Re: Guitar Amp.
Use the device toolbar to set the recording input to the sound card input that you are using. Note that the signal from the headphone output of your amp is likely to be far too big for a microphone input. If your computer has one, then you would probably be better to plug into a "line" inp...
