Re: Why does "split" leave a gap?
This is tricky and it took the developers a lot of time and effort to get this to work exactly right in all situations. The difficulty is that we are dealing with samples that are literally "points" along the time line, they have zero duration, but at the same time we are dealing with a &q...

Re: Auto Labels
The sound finder works on the tracks in the middle but the last track it still only picks 1 second afterward. Sound Finder only operates up to the end of the selection. If you want the final label to extend beyond the end of the audio track you need to make the selection longer so that there is spa...

Re: Why does "split" leave a gap?
The "gap" should be just one sample period, that is, if you zoom in close enough to see the individual dots (representing the samples) then a split should simply break the line that joins the dots but none of the dots removed. Joining the split back together (for example with Ctrl+J) resto...

I think that Roger would be the person to speak to. Any performance improvements that you make would benefit the standalone version of Nyquist as well as Audacity.

Re: "Mute" multiple audio clippings?
Try the "Pop Mute" plug-in: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 58#p122958
You will need to set the "Threshold" to just under 0 dB (try -0.001) and "Mute Level" to -100 dB.

Re: Individual Storage of Host Settings
I think this is a good idea, but quite complicated to do. On my machine the latency also changes according to the sample rate, so ideally there would be separate profiles for each sample rate. If the computer has more than one sound card then the latency is likely to be different for each sound card...

Re: "Mute" multiple audio clippings?
I can't see quite enough on your picture. Please right click on the vertical track scale near the left end of the waveform. That will zoom out vertically so that we can see if the waveform goes above 0 dB or is clipped at 0 dB. Then post a new screen shot. (Left click on the vertical scale to zoom b...
