Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks
Just was curious when you split the stereo track to mono and invert it what is actually going on to create silence if it is a mono track Curiosity is good ;) The following explanation is not totally accurate but will hopefully get across the idea of what is happening. If you zoom in really close on...

Re: Monitoring while recording and second track sounds funny
Got it. So I have to monitor from my Audio Interface, so to speak, not the computer? Yes. See the "Startup Guide" for your G3. Any idea on question #2? Not without hearing it. If you press the Mute button on the first track and then play you will be able to hear the second track on its ow...

Re: Microphone for noisy environment?
I've read reviews saying they filter out indirect noise pretty wel Those reviews are misleading. The SM58 / beta does not "filter out" indirect noise at all. Typically a SM58 / beta would be used within 1 cm of the mouth, thus the voice sound is considerably louder than using a microphone...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks
I have a question on the original instructions to determine mono and stereo. When you split the track to mono what is actually occurring and you mentioned if it is silent it cancels it out and is actually a mono track. Can you explain this a bit more so i understand what is going on better ? I've n...

Re: Microphone for noisy environment?
While something like a Rode NTG-2 or an Audio-Technica AT897 will probably give you noticeably better sound quality, I would not expect a huge improvement with background noise rejection because "sound from next door" is very "indirect" and will be bouncing around and radiating f...

Re: Is this a copyright issue?
I have to believe it's a DRM copyright protection issue and it's clearly being executed during the File Export process. It is not a copyright/copy protection issue. What format was the downloaded song? What setting do you have set in "Edit > Preferences > Import / Export"? Did you save th...

Re: CD MAKINGS
Perhaps you could copy it to a USB memory stick, then copy from the USB memory stick onto the other computer?
