Re: -Inf noise floor too low - ACX Help please

I tried exporting best quality possible, Variable (Best quality) ACX require "192 kbps Constant bit-rate MP3" (not "Variable") See: https://www.acx.com/help/acx-audio-submission-requirements/201456300 You should also keep a backup copy in WAV format. it does not pass after expor...

when recording something on Audacity don’t I have to choose some sort of input?
Yes. Select "USB Audio CODEC".
Note that you should connect the device before launching Audacity.

It also occurred to me that I could use Paralells to run the Windows version of Audacity.
Better to use the native Mac version. Macros are the same in both.

So what you’re saying is: if I connect the UCA-202 between the cassette recorder and the laptop, that a “line in” option will show up in the Audacity task bar?
On my Mac Mini, a UCA-202 shows up as "USB Audio CODEC".
Note that you should connect the device before launching Audacity.

Re: How to record from cassette recorder?

I did a quick eBay search for a UCA-202 and found several. Is this what I need? That's the device. I think that the European retailer "Thomann" now have a US website that can ship Behringer products to the US at reasonable prices. (They are Europe's biggest retailer of musical equipment).

Re: missing: Set 'Selection Point and Play': Ctrl + left-click

It's not the most obvious feature as there is no menu command for it, but there is a tool-tip if you hover the mouse pointer over the Timeline (time ruler) for a few seconds. It's very rare that we remove a feature from Audacity without offering an alternative (usually a "better" alternati...

Re: Change Tempo Bug

OK, I can see a definite problem here, especially when high quality is NOT selected. I think that's just a limitation of the SoundTouch algorithm. The algorithm is based on "synchronized overlap-add" (See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_time_stretching_and_pitch_scaling#SOLA) and is ...

ACX Check seems to work only for tracks (or selected segments) up to about 20 minutes long.
You need the updated version of ACX Check for Audacity 2.4.2. Get it here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... #ACX_Check

Re: failed to read from a file in C.

There was some data corruption in track 3 somewhere around 2:30. I had to remove a short section from that track to be able to export a mix.
I've uploaded the export here (mind the adverts, it's an ad supported service) https://www.sendspace.com/file/06h3c3
16-bit WAV format, 112.91MB

I'm not sure what you are wanting to do, but you can pause by pressing "P".
