Re: How to change frequency of a track to less than 1000 Hz?

I'm no expert on Tinnitus, but other users on this forum have reported benefits by removing a frequency band that corresponds with their "Tinnitus frequency". There is a rather long, but informative discussion about it here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=74967#p74967 The la...

Hi Mark, as one of the forum administrators I apologise if one of your posts was incorrectly flagged as spam. As I have not seen the message that was deleted I am not able to comment further on why this occurred. Needless to say, mistakes do occur from time to time, though we do of course try to min...

Re: New "Tools" Menu

The list that I gave was intended as no more than a list of possible candidates for a Tools menu. I think that some of those listed are better where they already are, at least for now. As a naive user I would not look in the Analyze Menu for track splitters that split on either silence/sound or spli...

Re: Quick conversion calculator

Added "Length Change as %". This can be used with "Change Speed", "Change Tempo" and 'Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift' effects. Example: To stretch 1 minute and 22.5 seconds to 1 minutes and 30 seconds, you can either work out the required 'percent' for "Change Sp...

Re: How to align multiple tracks to the right

Is there an actual use case for the Audacity functions: "Tracks > Align Tracks > End to Cursor/Selection Start" Yes. Aligning one or more short tracks to fit into a selected gap. Perhaps not a common use, but a valid reason. Perhaps at some stage we should review the design goals of the A...

Re: Remove echo from recording

it's still hard to hear the speaker clearly, because there was a lot of echo in the hall, and I was sitting some way away from the stage. So, do you know of any way I can clean up the recording by eliminating or reducing that echo? Echoes cannot be removed from a recording. That's why they do this:...

Try closing down Audacity, then reboot the computer.
Does the problem still occur?

Re: How to align multiple tracks to the right

I expect someone will have a use case for the aligned tracks remaining synced so I don't think you could just exchange functions. It's unfortunate that a useful feature with a clear use case should be blocked by a feature that may be useful but with no clear use case. Perhaps at some stage we shoul...
