Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

An example using the "new scheme". Here's an 8 bar phrase from a dance track. I selected from the start of the phrase to the end of the phrase. I wanted the bar line for the end of the phrase so that I can see where the next phrase starts. This is the start of the 9th bar. I manually rena...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

This is what I mean by "Regions" and "Intervals". All three of these label tracks have the same "label intervals". The time from the start of one label to the start of the next is 5 seconds in each case. The "label interval" is 5 seconds. The current selection...

I agree that is likely to be confusing for many users. I think we'll need to wait for type 4 plug-ins before we can properly implement hh:mm:ss.

Re: Automated editing

As you write it above, it looks like Append-Import without actually stringing the Audacity tracks end-to-end. More like an "append export". Yes it could be used in a similar manner, but I'd not like to concatenate 1000 .au files that way. There is probably not a strong case for concatenat...

Unfortunately it is not currently possible to make this for appropriate locales only but I think that it should work OK.

Re: New user- need help with recording. Please!!

Glad you like Audacity ;) Unfortunately if the sound quality is anywhere near as bad as you suggest then it is a lost cause. An expert in audio forensics with state of the art equipment may be able to make some small amount of improvement. The "state of the art" is nowhere near as good as ...

Re: Dogs only recordings?

Sorry but Nero Wave Editor is not our product so we can't help you with that. The pitch difference between the lower end of the frequency range of your voice and the ultrasonic range is huge. Even a telephone voice goes down to around 300 Hz. Adult hearing generally goes up to around 15,000 Hz, so y...
