I assume that if they selected from zero that they want 2 seconds of lead-in silence, otherwise they would select from 2 seconds.Gale Andrews wrote:What if the audio starts at 2s and user selects from time zero?

Re: Automated editing
Generate a 20 seconds tone and split at 5s, 10s and 15s. There is no silence to remove. Straight export exports the whole 20s. Then user chooses Export Regions... and "Export audio clips only". User thinks this must be different to straight export, so assumes it must be like Export Multip...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
I hope we can avoid that. So do I, but as we cannot currently grey out controls there are some unfortunate contradictions. The most obvious one is that when specifying a number of labels, "Adjust labels to fit = No" makes no sense. Question, why don't we allow creating 10 labels at 6 seco...

Re: Problem with Nyquist
You are trying to run Audacity from the dmg file. That won't work properly, Audacity must be installed according to these instructions: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 72#p227872Kakkoi wrote:"Critical Nyquist files could not be found. Nyquist effects will not work".

Re: Getting the CD to play on CD player
I am using the 2.0.3 version of your software. The current version is 2.0.5. You can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ To make a standard audio CD that will play on CD players: 1) Export each "song" as separate WAV files 2) In your CD burning program, select "audio CD&qu...

Re: Automated editing
Yes but I still think "Export audio clips only" is really ambiguous if you have contiguous clips. I don't see anything ambiguous about it. If I have apples and oranges and I "save the apples only", then I save the apples and not the oranges. If I have apples and pears and I &quo...

Re: Unwanted words linked to ads
Apparently, my computer has become infected with something or other. My question is whether that lame file has anything to do with it You have almost certainly got some sort of adware/malware installed. Lame from here: http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/ does not contain any adware/malware, though that web...

hopefully developers would not be too antagonistic to a message if no options were available. I don't think they will be as long as the message is brief. I think the consensus there is that if the user wants a detailed explanation they should read the appropriate section of the manual (imo a "...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
This would be much easier as two plug-ins. "Regular Labels..." Creates a specified number of labels. "Regular Interval Labels..." Creates labels at specified intervals. Question, why don't we allow creating 10 labels at 6 second intervals when the track length is less than 1 minu...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
Thinking out loud.... For creating labels at regular intervals, the decision whether to include a label or not is simple - either that position is within the selection or it isn't. If the label position falls at 3 minutes and the selection ends at >= 3 minutes then the label is included. If the sele...
