Re: Problems with the Korg PX5D
If it isn't listed in the Sound Control Panel, then the computer has not recognised it as a recording device. If the operating system cannot see it, then Audacity will not be able to see it either. Check in the Korg manual to see if you need to set anything on the Korg for it to work as a recording ...

Re: Deepen voice while keeping crisp for commentary
Try getting a little closer to the mic, and also you could try using the Change Pitch effect and set the percentage to around -6 or -7 %. Don't go much more than that or it will sound weird. There are also "acting skills" that can help - Before you start recording, relax, and try to feel y...

Re: Help with recording
Companies often ship old (obsolete) versions of Audacity, so the first thing to do is to get the latest release version, which you can download here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ There are instructions in the Audacity manual here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recording_with_usb_turntabl...

Re: Problems with the Korg PX5D
Have a look in the Windows Sound Control Panel and see if the Korg is listed as a recording input device. If it is, open Audacity (if Audacity was already open, close it and re-launch it), then look in the device toolbar and you should find an input device that corresponds with the Korg.

Re: Vocal Remove Error
Your Audacity installation is very broken. This is not a "bug", it's a problem with your installation. Try removing Audacity completely (probably easiest to do with Synaptic Package Manage), reboot, then reinstall. I can't imagine what has caused this but it seems like several files are co...

Re: Different volumes at one track
You will need to manually "shape" the volume, which you can do with the Envelope Tool: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html It will be difficult to get the transition absolutely smooth, but you should be able to make it reasonably so. For future occasions, it is better t...

Re: Message: "...another copy of Audacity is running...."
There is currently no way to select in Audacity which audio devices to scan. I'm not sure that it is even possible to do so. Probably a better approach would be to write a little script to kill bluetooth and then launch Audacity. This will then allow bluetooth to be restarted when you need it. You'd...
