Re: Pass Through Sound
Would using JACK help? You should be able to achieve very low latency using Jack. Even with my cheap laptop and even cheaper on-board sound card I get 23.2 milliseconds (hardly noticeable) very reliably and stable, or down to around 11 ms if I'm not stressing the machine. On a good machine it shoul...

I did run the machine the Sun morn with one change.
I selected the option for Norton AV to run in "silent mode" for the duration of my use today.
I had no errors.
Which version of Norton are you using?

Re: lengthen silences
I've had a quick look at the plug-in (it's quite a while since I wrote it). I think a useful addition which would suit your user case would be to add an option to make the added silence a percentage of the previous non-silence. Thus, when set to 100% it would add silence equal to the length of the p...

Re: Multichannel wav file export is cut
Many HD movies include this type of track. None. HD movies do not use WAV files. But how do I add a track to pcm multichannel larger than 4 GB? As Gale suggested you can try RF64. PCM is a form of encoding, not a file format. The 4GB limit applies to the WAV file format, not to PCM encoding. RF64 i...

Re: Please suggest me some useful plugins
I'd recommend that you start with those that are included by default. You can add additional ones if you need something that is not included as standard.

Yes, by "straight ALSA" I mean ALSA with no additional layers (no dmix, no PulseAudio, no Jackd) the hw option.Gale Andrews wrote:I'm not sure what you mean by "ALSA". There is no "ALSA" device on Ubuntu in Device Toolbar. Do you mean the (hw) device

Re: Record audio from ONLY one specific application
The problem with this thing is Windows recognize BF4 audio as "system sound", so, if i want to record it, it records all audios from the PC, i don't know why :/ The Windows sound system does not support routing audio signals between applications. Some professional/semi-professional audio ...

Re: Record audio from ONLY one specific application
What i need to do is to record the audio from Battlefield 4 and ONLY Battlefield 4, not the Skype conversation. I know how to record the output audio from my PC, but not from one specific progam only. Is there any way to do it? thanks! Not with Audacity on Windows. Audacity records directly from th...

Re: Multichannel wav file export is cut
There is an article here about Flac: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLAC In their wisdom Microsoft decided to not support Flac, but support for Flac in Windows Media Player (and other Windows audio programs) can easily be added by installing the Directshow Filters: http://www.xiph.org/dshow/ The home ...

Re: Multichannel wav file export is cut
The 4 GB limit is not imposed by Audacity. It is a limit of WAV format (see the wikipedia link that I posted).MIMMO61 wrote:If the author of the program could turn the limit of 4 GB would be a great thing.
Flac format is lossless.
