Re: Moving form nyquist prompt to nyquist plugin
"version 1" plug-ins should be compatible with Audacity 1.2.x. Unless you are sure that the plug-in is compatible with such ancient versions of Audacity I'd recommend marking it as "version 3" in the header. The most obvious differences between version 1, 2 and 3 plug-ins are whi...

Re: Respons time
Are you working with very long recordings?
Does your computer have multiple CPU cores?
Do you have a lot of labels in the project?

Re: Mutes the sound
The problem is probably the Windows sound "enhancements". See here for how to turn them off: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... hancements

Re: Moving form nyquist prompt to nyquist plugin
For Windows I'd recommend Notepad++.
I Googled for a Mac equivalent and the suggestion was TextWrangler https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id40401 ... Id=1736887
(I don't use Macs).

Each channel has selectable 12v / 24v phantom power.
Yours for only $3000.

Re: Shure sm58 help
The tiny Behringer mixer does have one feature I don't like. It has always-on Phantom Power. All of my other mixers and the X2U have the ability to turn it on and off. Much more expensive microphones may require power from the mixer to work. One way to deliver it is via Phantom Power which sends ba...

Re: Disable post approved notification?
Thank you for your feedback. Your suggestions are not unreasonable, but there are also counter arguments for why these issues are the way that they are, as outlined below. How do I disable notifications for my own posts that have been aproved? In order to prevent the forum from being flooded with sp...
