Re: High pass / low pass / band pass / band cut filter
Do you think it is just impossible to write a such plugin for audacity? The problem is in defining filters in a meaningful way. Frequency filters are not "on/off" things. There is always a transition between the "pass" range and the "stop" range. Different types of fil...

Re: Can't download lame[SOLVED]
I was getting the same error on the main LAME download page. Looks like there was a temporary failure. It seems to be working again now.

Re: High pass / low pass / band pass / band cut filter
The frequency band that you are attempting to produce is too narrow for this type of filter. You need to use a "notch filter" to achieve such a narrow stop band. There is a notch filter included in Audacity. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/notch_filter.html This type of filter can be ...

Re: Tweaks Needed for Remote Collaboration
Naturally, I could copy the files into the Audacity project data folder to compartmentalize the data, but that's inefficient. It may not be as inefficient as you suppose. Let's say, for example, that you have 100 MB of files that are linked to the project, then each collaborator needs to have a cop...

Re: Best way to get peak amplitude?
There is no way to store or reload scripts across sessions using Nyquist Prompt. Do you want to vote for that? Perhaps Nyquist Workbench (not yet released) can do that? Nyquist Workbench can save and load scripts. It can even automatically open the script that was last used (provided that the scrip...

Re: wow & flutter spectrum analysis
Id like to work on a plug-in to allow spectrum analysis of wow & flutter Is this for recordings on tape? If you have a sine wave as the test tone, then assuming negligible distortion and negligible DC offset, you can calculate the frequency very accurately by counting the zero crossing points (...

Have a look to see if you can "roll back" the drivers for the device to an older version. (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... =windows-7)

Re: Easy way to advance the cursor
I would listen to the audio, hear a point that I would think would be good to break off on, let the audio go for a tiny bit more to make sure and then have a hard time navigating back to my break off spot so I could read the numbers for where it is at. Try this: Set the audio playing. Ensure that y...

C-Dex can do that (free): http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/Nowhereman wrote:I will find a way to rip the CD version to a wave file and try that.
