Re: Request "mono" and "optimal output" on MP3 export screen
2) Support for a different output sample rate than input sample rate This allows for a much better sounding mp3 if (using same example) a 44100 wav file is compressed to an mp3 with a bitrate of 32. The default behavior of command line LAME is to choose the optimal output sample rate based on the s...

That sounds like a feature request so moved it here.kozikowski wrote:What's the possibility of making the Disk Image so Audacity will not run without installing? Koz

Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.
Do you think it would be worth adding a "fine adjuster" for the frequency, say +/- 2 Hz?Trebor wrote:There's two lots of mains hum on that , one with a fundamental frequency of 61.33Hz , due to the tape running slightly fast,

Re: 50 Year Old Analog Audio Noise Removal Issue.
Sorry to ressurect this but I can't private message anyone :( . Sorry about that. Unfortunately we had to disable PMs for newly registered users because a few individuals thought it was fun to send spam and viruses via PMs. I'm curious why Trebor never added his dehummer to the list of plug-ins? It...

Re: First hour is blank
If you do find out from Norton exactly what the problem is and the "correct" solution, please let us know. It would be helpful for other users if we had a definitive answer for this.

Re: A little confused, can someone explain this?
Why are the top and bottom of a waveform graphic +1 and -1? In the picture, the peak amplitude is 0 db, but it's represented on the graphic as +1. Shouldn't it be 0? The conventional way to represent waveforms is with a "dB" vertical scale, which as you say would be "0" at full ...

Re: Can't adjust input level for pulse monitor in Audacity
By the way, it took a bit of massaging to get 1.3.10 to build.
Code: Select all
./configure --with-portmixer="local" -with-sbsms="local" --without-ffmpeg
make

Re: Can't adjust input level for pulse monitor in Audacity
However I can only adjust the input level on the Recording tab of Pulse Audio Volume Control. The Audacity input slider is always greyed out when pulse or its aliases are selected as input, and I think this has been true for a long time. Same here. I've just tested with Audacity 1.3.10 and the inpu...

Re: High pass / low pass / band pass / band cut filter
Yes but it would be more meaningful for common users to set the range to cut off (slope being automatically calculated according to it) in frequency range. Plus the more the frequency to cut off is high, the more a same given Q ratio apply a wider cut off. So it can be hard to precisely cut off a h...
