Re: What effect/filter settings could improve this?
Also what "service" are you referring to? Koz is referring to the Windows Sound "Enhancements" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements) but I agree with Koz's second post that that is probably not the problem here. It sounds far more...

Re: No waveform seen or generated, just silence
Been using Audacity for a while with no problem. Today, tried to open an mp3 file, and nothing. Just a flat-line for the duration of the music Tried generating some White Noise; again nothing just a flat line for 30 seconds You mean that the waveform display is visually a flat line (and silent on p...

Re: Alternative to Reaper
If you're on Windows and you like Reaper, my advice would be to pay the (very reasonable) $60 license fee (or $225 if you require a full commercial license).

One of the proposed names for that effect was "Extreme Stretch". That would have been appropriate.Trebor wrote:Clue in the title : paulstretch ... http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/paulstretch.html

Re: Help Making a Short Montage
Hi I have tried with the time line shift which is working but I cant manage to get them all on the same line as one track. They don't need to be on the same track. When you export all of the tracks are "mixed down" to a single (mono or stereo) track. If you specifically want them on the s...

Re: Help Making a Short Montage
Yes, absolutely. The basic procedure is to import the tracks (they appear one below the other as separate tracks). Use the Time Shift tool to slide them left/right as necessary. Trim them down as necessary and apply and effects or fades. Export your finished masterpiece as a WAV file (WAV is a high ...

Should be available in all good CD burning programs (including good free CD writing programs). Not available in some cut-down "light" versions of commercial software.kozikowski wrote:But can change it via a burn setting.

Re: Wont copy on media center
It is quite possible to burn music to a CD using the Windows “File Explorer” directly. Just to emphasise the point that Gale has made, the resulting CD will be a "data CD" not an "audio CD". To create an audio CD that is compatible with most CD players you need to specify "...
Re: Editing
I saw in a previous post that you have to stop the track instead of pausing it in order to edit, cut, or paste. Fantastic, it works - people do find answers on the forum. That's made my day :D Now if someone can assist me with my situation regarding importing that would be great. I see that Gale is...
