Re: cut - shift left
I'm not sure exactly what your workflow is, but perhaps the solution lies in "Sync-Lock" http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ed ... .html#link

Re: Dithering noise in WAV files
when I edit and save as a new file, dithering noise appears. I have Audacity set to 32 bit float, and the dithering noise doesn't appear until I save the file as a 16 bit WAV file There is a bug in Audacity 2.0.2 in which the default dither settings produce dither that is audible when exporting ste...

Re: Automated editing
Steve may want this thread left open to remind him about an Invert Labels feature. I see this valuable as a standalone request - but there are no extra votes for it. Currently we have on the wiki: "Also there could be commands to select multiple label regions, to invert the selection, or to ig...

Re: Options Menu
I think Steve should answer the below before there is a proposal: I think this is drifting away from the subject "Options Menu". I don't like that idea very much if all "options" were there instead of in the menus they belong in. Or is the idea that Options is the "Easy Pre...

Re: Help Making a Short Montage

Re: All playback now high-speed
Let's try with your USB headphones.
Plug in the headphones, then open Audacity (headphones connected first).
In the device toolbar playback settings there should be a new USB option that corresponds to the USB headphones. Select that and try playing something. What happens?

Look in the Recording settings in the Windows Sound Control Panel and ensure that the device is set to record 2 channels (stereo).

Re: Expander in the future?
My dbx unit is a 118 One of these? http://medias.audiofanzine.com/images/thumbs3/dbx-118-237010.jpg Using a dynamic range expander set at something between 1.2 and 1.4 restored the dynamic range of a vinyl LP to what was possible on the studio tape. There is a plug-in that you could try here: dynam...

Re: Can Audacity do this? rip radio into separate tracks
Can it record an internet radio stream (suspect the answer to this is yes) AND separate the tracks into individual mp3's for each song like some programs are able to do? Suspect no on this but would love to be pleasantly surprised. Your mention of "StreamRipper" sheds light on your questi...
