Re: audio levels

I have recorded a voiceover. One voice has a telephone-esque effect on it with street ambience behind it and the other doesn't have anything. I don't know how to make the volumes level and I'm going round in circles. I presume that it is just one audio file with both voices mixed together, rather t...

Re: I need help using audacity

Sorry, we do not have the resources to provide telephone or e-mail support. Audacity is a free product, created and supported by volunteers. We aim to reply to forum posts within 24 hours, and usually much less.

Re: Audacity could not read its default theme

This is a known issue with some dark themes (Desktop) and is listed in the Audacity release notes (http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.0.5#Accessibility) Audacity has experimental Theme support which is disabled by default. This has not been worked on for quite a while so I don't know ...

Re: use of Audacity from command line

Command line functionality in the shipped version of Audacity is extremely limited. The only current command-line functions are that you can open audio files or Audacity project files (including multiple files) by passing them as arguments, for example: $ audacity file1.aiff file2.wav file3.ogg The ...

Re: Problem with playback speed control in Audacity 2.0.5

Why couldn't that feature have just been turned off in the Linux version of Audacity, and not in the Windows or Mac versions? The explanation by Gale was the very brief summary version of the issue. Re: Trying to make video game BGM

I only want that to play once. After that, I only want the ocarina music looping You won't be able to "extract" (isolate) the ocarina from the piano sound. That's like trying to unscramble an egg. If you have a recording of the ocarina on its own then you can use the "Repeat" ef...

What sort of computer? Windows Vista?
Where exactly are you trying to put the plug-in?
What do you mean "it blocks you"? Is there an error message, or a warning message? If so, what exactly does it say?

Re: Can't record on my new Windows 7 computer

I've had a hacking cough myself - not much fun is it :( On top of that, one of the most common areas that computer manufacturer's cut corners to keep the price down is the sound card. They generally think that as long as it'll beep on an error and make that crinkling sound when you empty the trash, ...
