Re: How about a customizable toolbar?

Audacity doesn't have that, but it does allow you to set up keyboard shortcuts for effects: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ke ... ences.html

Re: Any better pitch correction tool for Audacity?

For manual pitch correction (where you decide how much and which direction to change the pitch), try the Sliding Time Stretch / Pitch Shift effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sliding_time_scale_pitch_shift.html For automatic pitch correction (like AutoTune) you will probably need to spend ...

Re: How can I add a 1.5ms time delay (not echo) to one chann

You can do that with this "Echo" effect: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=104297#p104297 Set the left and right delay times as you want them. Set "Feedback" to 0%. Set "Effect Mix" to 100%. Installation instructions are here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wi...

Re: How to record 3 tracks' audio?

As I previously wrote, multi-channel recording requires special multi-channel hardware. In order for the special hardware to work, requires "drivers" that allow the operating system to use the hardware. Windows driver support for multi-channel sound cards is pretty poor, so most manufactur...

Re: How to record 3 tracks' audio?

Re: Remove Silence Between Tracks

There are various ways to do it.
Depending on the type of music you may be able to use "Sound Finder" to mark the tracks with region labels. then use Export Multiple to export the marked sections.

Re: Duplicate updates

If you added this PPA repository (https://launchpad.net/~audacity-team/+archive/daily) to your sources list, comment it out. That PPA repository contains daily builds from audacity's subversion repository. It is generally recommended to use the official repository version rather than a PPA version. ...

Re: difference between equalizer, amplify and normalize

Amplify and Normalize are very similar effects. They are similar to a "volume control" in that they make the audio louder (higher amplitude) or quieter (lower amplitude). The difference between Amplify and Normalize is that the Amplify effects increases the amplitude by the amount you spec...
