Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")
If you can just let me now if I can use your last plugin as a high quality speed shifter I'm done. It's not particularly "high quality". Audacity's "Change Speed" effect is higher quality, particularly for higher frequency signals, but this one allows very precise (sample accura...

Surely that can't be right?by gathering approximately 10,000 pieces of loudness information within a time span of 3 seconds (dB/RMS).

Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")
they all need to have the same length up to the sample to work well in my max msp program Not a problem. If you get the audio as close as possible to the required length with perfect complete samples (as described in my previous post) then you can stretch the entire track a little to fit the requir...

Re: Cassette to (Dolby) Digital
You don't need any special sound card for exporting an multi-channel file.
In order to play multiple channels you will need hardware that can do that. (Audacity does not support multi-channel playback, though you can play multiple "tracks" through a normal stereo sound card).

Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")
It would probably be have been easier if you'd made the samples a bit longer than necessary so that you could have just trimmed the ends to get the right length. However, why not just trim the deformed cycle off, then copy and paste a good one in its place? If you need to tweak the overall length bu...

Re: Cassette to (Dolby) Digital
Dolby Digital is heavily patented and actively protected, as is just about anything "Dolby", so as you say, you are not going to get "true Dolby" without using real Dolby products. Also, you can't make "true surround sound" from mono or stereo. What you can do, is to &q...

Re: Sliding Time Scale Help
Try using a "Time Track" to bend the pitch rather than a pitch shifting effect. You will need to experiment to get the original howl the right duration because using a Time Track will change both the pitch and speed. You may need to use a combination of the Time Track and pitch/tempo shift...
