Re: USB Dual Pre to MacBook Pro Set Up
What exactly are you unhappy with? Is it that the left channel is much louder then the right channel?

Re: Can't save in MP3 anymore
"File menu > Save" produces "Audacity Projects" which are not normal audio files. "File menu > Export" must be used to create an ordinary audio file. Ensure that you don't use dots "." in the file name. Audacity will automatically add the ".mp3" file...

Re: Need pointers on adding feature to search pattern
Feature is to be able to select small section from an audio waveform and locate all occurrences of that section in the complete audio file. The general case of selecting an arbitrary sound, then searching for that sound, is very difficult to implement. There are specific cases that are much more si...

Re: Manipulating Decibels
Okay, finally heard back from the ACX folks. As expected, there were "issues." Don't go away! Long ago it was prophesied that one day someone on the forum would have "rejection" results from ACX that they were willing to share. We have been waiting for this day to come. ;) We ha...

Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")
The result is what you asked for - the average of the two tracks, which as Robert said, is the same as a mix of the two tracks (the two tracks added together) then made 6 dB quieter (divided by two = average).

Re: possible to make this plugin? ("auto draw wave")
You don't need a plug-in to do that.
1) Combine the two tracks to create a stereo track (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sp ... racks.html)
2) Tracks menu > Stereo Track to Mono.

Re: ReplayGain
after applying replaygain plug in? I presume that you mean the plug-in posted in this topic rather than any other ReplayGain plug-in? My guess would be that your original audio tracks had some clipping and that Platinum Notes software detected this by looking for parts that were at 0 dB. If that we...

Re: ReplayGain
This plug-in simply amplifies the audio to a level determined by its "equal loudness" algorithm. It attempts to work out how much amplification is required to make the selected track a "medium" loudness. The algorithm is my version of the Replay Gain algorithm as described here: ...

Re: MME / Windows Direct Sound - speed problems?
It seems from what you have said it would be a major and quite obvious change / error in the speed? Yes it's likely to be very obvious. I presume that you do listen to what you are doing while editing - if so, and you've not noticed that it's playing too slow or too fast, then you've not got a prob...
