Re: only line entry on with US-122
The thing is on the new computer the sound is OK and then sunddenly becomes "numerised"... I don't know what you mean by "numerised". Could you try to describe that, or post a short example. See here how to post a short WAV sample: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=4...

Re: only line entry on with US-122
my pb is on my last computer I had for my tascam 2 choices in audacity : "line" and "mic", I find that surprising. Usually USB devices only have one option, with the selection between Mic / Line being made on the device itself. If you are sure that there should be other options ...

Re: "Unification" of audio tracks
Yes i can do it by ear, leveling it, listening to it thousand of times untill it sounds similair. Perhaps surprisingly, that is the most accurate way to do it and is the method used in most professional studios. Judging "loudness" is a very complex task that is dependent on many things, i...

Re: IVR - Recording in G.711 mu-Law Format
When I listen back to the recorded audio it sounds extremely slow - is this what you would expect? No. You have not followed the instructions correctly. I would guess that you used the track drop-down menu to change the sample rate. That is not the way to do it. To set the sample rate of the export...

Re: only line entry on with US-122
The Tascam US-122L is a "2 channel" device. Audacity does not have "channel mapping" so when using a 2 channel device, Audacity will treat "channel 1" of the device as the "Left" or "Mono" channel and will treat "channel 2" as the "Rig...

Re: Analysis of Audacity data in excel
If all of the recordings are recorded using the same equipment in the same environment, at the same distance, then you may be able to get meaningful results from looking at the peak levels from exported spectrum data. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/plot_spectrum.html If the recordings are made...

Re: recording at 32float/96, does it dither on export to 24b
I'm pretty sure that the change from the original recording in Audacity from 32bit float to an export of 32bit PCM signed .wav won't ever use dither even with editing like normalizing? Dither is only applied when converting to a lower sample format (bit format), so you're correct - dither will not ...
