Re: Manipulating Decibels

And it's up at Audible Fantastic, and congratulations :D It is also very useful for me as I'm in the process of making a tool for measuring the peak, rms and noise floor (for audio book authors). According to my measurements the "sample" of your book on audible.com is very slightly outsid...

Re: Convert Note to frequency and frequency to note

This is not usually necessary on Linux as the normal message can be selected and copied using a mouse, but may still be useful for keyboard only operation. Update: On Linux, the content of a Nyquist "returned text" window can be copied using keyboard control only: 1) Tab 2) Ctrl+C After t...

Please let us know if you discover the cause and/or solution, whatever it happens to be. It could help other Audacity users if they encounter the same problem.
Good luck.

Re: Convert Note to frequency and frequency to note

you "might" get people wanting 3 decimal places. The difference between 432.186 and 432.19 Hz is 0.0160 Cents. That is just a little over 0.0003 of a semi-tone. Quoting from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cent_%28music%29 Typically, cents are used to measure extremely small finite interval...

Re: Convert Note to frequency and frequency to note

This is a "tool". If we ever have a "Tools" Menu, would a future iteration of Nyquist plug-ins be able to go in there without generating a track? Yes, definitely a "tool" rather than an "effect", "generator" or "analyser". If we ever have ...

Note also that selecting a higher "Size" setting will show more detail in the low frequency range.

Re: Using Equalization For Podcasting

"Equalization" is like a fancy "tone control". Whereas on a CD player you may have "Bass" and "Treble", where "Bass" is the low frequencies and "Treble" is the high frequencies, Equalization provides much finer control of frequencies. The l...

Convert Note to frequency and frequency to note

This plug-in calculates the frequency of a note entered as "Note + Octave". For example, entering "A 4" as the note will give a result of 440Hz, assuming "A 440" tuning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A440_%28pitch_standard%29) The plug-in also calculates the "Note +...
