Re: Varying latency during track
Steve: I did the timed click track test over 2 mins and it was accurate to within a fraction of a second every time. I'm not sure how good it should be. It should be more accurate than you can measure with a watch ;) "a fraction of a second" is probably the most accurate that you can expe...

Re: How change X-axis range in Spectrum Analysis Plot

Re: 2.0.2 on Vista - Clicking black merge line crashes Audac
Sometimes, when you click the merge line after silencing, it crashes. Yes this is a known issue and is listed on the Audacity bug tracking system. The workaround is to use CTRL + J to to remove the split lines. Select across the splits to be removed, then press Ctrl+J. Note that you can "join&...

Re: Time Track
If 2.0.2 was installed in the default location using the Windows installer, then you should be able to install 2.0.5 over the top.great_scott wrote:For the one that still has 2.0.2., do I need to uninstall it before loading 2.0.5.?
If you're unsure, there is no harm in un-installing 2.0.2 first.

But what do you make of this? The fella is saying that we shouldn't listen to anybody saying foam is enough, that there has to be a thick layer of vinyl as well. "soundproofing" and "sound conditioning" are different things. The studio I used to work in had two solid walls and t...

Could you expand on that.cybrmarc wrote:the waypoints seem more straightforward and more intuitive to use.
I've been interested for a long while in making the Audacity Envelope tool more user friendly but we get very little direct user feedback about it.

Re: Problem with Sound
Windows has a habit of changing the output audio device when you connect a USB audio device.
Look in the Windows Sound Control Panel to set the default playback device to whatever you are actually using for playback.
