There are other free options, such as installing a free (lightweight) Linux operating system instead. I don't know what that means, where I would get that, how to install it, or if/how I would be able to transfer all my files and programs. Linux is an operating system, just as "Windows XP"...

Here is what I want to do, seperate the audio and set the left speaker and the right speaker opposite in terms of the wave to test the audio cancelation, when i did invert the right audio and played both waves at the same time, I was still able to hear the sound , is that normal ?
