Re: Nyquist plugin for envelope inversion

I'm looking for a program that changes from moment to moment the envelope of a track, preferably with automation: setting the time, beaten, frame = 32 or 64? Already exists? Are you asking about "envelope inversion"? If not, please start a new topic. As your question stands, it is not cle...

Re: Audacity and compressors

Why are they (at least the "Limiter (2)") not included in the plug-ins package? There are lots of effects that could be included with Audacity, but the current list of effects is already quite long. Personally I think that a proper Limiter effect should be included as standard. Feel free ...

If you're using a USB device for recording, see this FAQ: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb
If that's not it, you will need to tell us a lot more about your setup and what you are doing (http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=63799)

Re: Issue regarding the 'Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift' Eff

"Time stretching" is difficult (algorithmically). There are several different approaches to the task including "synchronized overlap-add", "Sub-band Sinusoidal Modelling", "Phase vocoder" and others. None are perfect. The "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift e...

Re: Audacity and compressors

Personally I like the SC-4 compressor, but you're right, it does not catch the transients (fast attack peaks). In that way it is much like "old school" hardware compressors and has a lot of creative potential, but not good if you want to stop the peaks going too high. The built in compress...

Sorry, but my language skills let me down. If you can read English, the English version of the Wikipedia article is quite comprehensive: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endianness

What happens if you turn your computer off, disconnect the web cam, then with the web cam disconnected, restart the computer, then launch Audacity?

It's not uncommon for USB leads to have ferrite chokes in-line: http://www.active-robots.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/800x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/3/0/3018_web.jpg Looking / listening to your recordings, even on the quietest one the peak level of the clap is trying to punch its w...
