Re: Trying to get Audacity to record on Debian linux
The device shown is my Diamond card (C-Media CMI8738 Analog Stereo) where yours is showing Built In.... OK. To record something that is playing on your computer (such as Internet radio), you need to change that to the "Monitor" setting. On mine there is the choice of "Built in Audio ...

Re: Records at high speed
The screenshot doesn't help much ;) but I presume that you mean that when you select "SB Live! Line:0 input" as the recording " Port " for the SB Live! EMU10k1 Analog Stereo Device you can see the meter moving with the music? Open pavucontrol and ensure that "SB Live! Line:0...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.
Steve has even written a plug-in that converts the exported data to an importable EQ-preset. Where do I find that? Gale I think Robert is referring to this experiment: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=203704#p203704 and the later version here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.ph...

Re: Records at high speed
I am recording LPs. My phono preamp feeds the Line input on my SB Live! soundcard. I have been using this setup for several years, but in the past using Audacity with Windows XP. The problem exists only with the Linux version of Audacity. Cool. Let's find out where it's going wrong. Connect up your...
Re: lame
