Re: Cannot adjust input level [SOLVED]
bc I didn't trust anything else but ASIO via my Xonar soundcard. It seems odd to me that your trust is in non-standard drivers on an obsolete operating system that is hacked to allow updates that are not designed or tested on that operating system with an unsupported third party version of Audacity...

Re: editing a track a number of times, without deterioration
so if i continue to edit and save as wav 32 float, over and over the quality will not deteriorate? Correct, though to get the terminology right, Audacity "saves" Audacity "projects". Creating a normal audio file is by "exporting". Of course, if you apply effects then t...

Re: ezcap cuts off sound on computer
The more surprising thing is that you didn't get the problem with your first device. The behaviour with your second device is far more common. Here's how to fix it: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb

Re: Suddenly, cannot record in Audacity: "Error while openin
Running an ASIO application could cause the sound card to be unavailable for other applications.
Try rebooting your computer and ensure that ASIO4ALL does not launch (if it does you may need to find a way to stop it from launching automatically on boot).
Then try running Audacity.

Re: editing a track a number of times, without deterioration
Q1: Will the quality of the recording deteriorate since I have visited the audio track after exporting? I'm not sure what you mean by "visited" the audio track. If you just mean that you have "played" the exported audio track, then that will have no effect on the sound quality. ...

Re: My Scarlet 2i2 does not show as an option for input/outp
If Audacity was open before you connected the Scarlet, you will need to do:
Transport menu > Rescan Audio Devices.
Wait a few moments for the scan to complete, then look again in the device toolbar.

Re: Pitching a sample down without quality loss
Is there any feature on Audacity which allows me to exactly replicate this? "Effect > Change Speed" Essentially what this effect (and Reason) does is to change the playback rate, thus changing the "speed" (tempo) and pitch, both virtually perfectly. A tip for working out what pe...

Can you post a screen shot of your Audacity project so that we can see what the problem is.

Re: Cannot adjust input level
ASIO is not a cure all. Are you sure you need to use ASIO?
