Re: Change balance for output

Import the track, then use the "Pan slider" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... s.html#pan) to adjust the left/right balance so that it sounds right, then export the track as a new file.

Re: Trovi

There appear to be a number of links around suggesting that Trovi 'malware' is being installed along with the Audacity installation? Can anyone confirm (or deny) this as I know at least one person this appears to have affected? I be...

Re: Stereo Mix, Windows 7

Re: USB Remote recording gadget?

However, there are probably occasions where "professional" production is not as important as getting the job done quickly. I've some suggestions for that, but I need to go out for a while. Catch you later. Press the Record button (or the "R" key) to start recording. Start talkin...

Re: modified silence marker to insert more silence

There's always the option of running "Truncate Silence" after increasing the duration of the silences.
Truncate Silence has been reworked for Audacity 2.0.6, making it much more user friendly.

Re: USB audio from a USB mixer

Condenser microphones tend to be a bit brighter than dynamic mics, are often more sensitive, and more easily overloaded. That's not always the case, but often is, Dynamic mics tend to be more robust, have better rejection of handling noise, better feedback rejection in live applications, and able to...

Re: USB Remote recording gadget?

The short answer is, no, Audacity does not support such gadgets. However, there are some interesting points regarding this: The type of gadget that you are talking about is often called a "control surface". Often a control surface will use MIDI commands (Musical Instrument Digital Interfac...
