Re: Recording issues - Input volume having no affect.
I have a the RCA cable connecting the mixer the the laptop. (rec to mic in). You need to connect the mixer to a "line level" input. The signal level of a typical microphone is around 1000 times smaller than the signal level from a mixer, so you mixer is overpowering the microphone input. ...

Re: Audacity update
What sort of file are you trying to open, and how are you trying to open it? Note that only "Audacity projects" are "opened" in the conventional sense. Ordinary audio files are "imported" (though confusingly they may be imported into a new project using the "File >...

Re: Mystery of the tiny waveform and intermittent 1000 hz to
Different options have different limitations. XLR to USB converters are a cheap option, but usually offer no analog amplification of the (tiny) microphone signal prior to converting to digital, so low signal level and high noise are common problems. You can generally only use one USB audio device at...

Re: Recording cursor acts stuck - latency error message
If you have any guess as to why it started working, please let me know. No idea, but if it happens again the thing to try: 1) "Safely Remove Hardware" and physically disconnect the Scarlett. If the Scarlett has a separate power supply, unplug it or switch it off. 2) Reconnect the Scarlett...

Probably the easiest way is to "generate silence" where you want it. "Generate menu > Silence..."

That would indicate that the problem is with the UCA 202 (very unusual).MauMau wrote:Yes, I did test that. Same, left channel not working.

Re: Improvement to the vocoder effect
1.2.7b was a beta version (denoted by the "b") The core code is virtually the same as the 1.2.6 version, but includes experimental features that don't work quite right. The 1.2.7b version is licensed under an MIT license, which as far as I'm aware is compatible with GPL v2. If you want to ...

Re: How to increase input level - uca 202
I did switch the cables and tested it with both the tape deck and the TV - still only the left channel stays low. Just to check this again: Disconnect only the two plugs from the UCA 202 Inputs, and swap them round so that the "left" lead from the tape-deck plugs into the "right"...
